Why Develop in Millington?

Millington is a growing city approximately 15 miles north of Memphis.  It is home to the U.S. Navy’s Naval Support Activity Mid-South with 7,500 personnel, the USA Stadium and support facilities that host baseball and softball tournaments, and the full-service Millington Airport with 8,000 sf runway, control tower and FBO. Millington is on the move!

Millington is the center of retail trade for south Tipton and north Shelby Counties.  The Walmart SuperCenter and Lowe’s anchor the area near the intersection of Veterans’ Parkway and US Highway 51.  Recent additions in that area include TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby, Aldi’s, Dollar Tree and others.  There are many choices for restaurants or fast food.  Millington officials are pro-growth.

USA Baseball Stadium

Millington Baseball Stadium

USA stadium, located near the intersection of I-269 and US Highway 51, was the training ground for the USA Olympic baseball team from 1986-1996.  It has hosted many college and junior college games and tournaments. Upper Deck Sports purchased the 75+ acre complex in 2020 and spent $5+ million on additions and renovations. The main stadium seats 5000, has 700 parking spaces and is lighted for night games.  Five additional lighter fields have been constructed.  Owners expect to bring tournaments each weekend from Spring to Fall each attended by 40 to 50 travel teams.  These tournaments could draw 2,000 +/- visitors to Millington each weekend.
